The journey itself and the good works we do are not going to save us,(the second reading) but will instead encourage us and strengthen us to continue to hope, to continue the journey. One of the graces of our celebration today is that of conversion, turning to the Lord Jesus and confessing the “wrong we have done” and  saying “yes” to His forgiveness and mercy. We don’t have to cry (as the sinful woman in the gospel) but tears are a gift and often accompany our deepest sorrow for the sin in our lives. If you have the “gift of tears” praise God! Lets continue our journey in Christ Jesus our hope of glory (Co. 1:27)…be a person of hope my friends, fr dan
